Senior Phase

Our Senior Phase and Foundation Apprenticeship courses allow you to study at City while still at school.

School pupils moving into S4, S5 or S6 in August 2023 can select a vocational course as one of their subject options, alongside their school-based qualifications.

Our courses offer students experience based, hands on learning facilitated by lecturers who are experts in their field, with years of practical industry experience.  We continually invest in the latest learning facilities, from our state-of-the-art television and radio studios to our fully equipped engineering workshops; our Industry standard kitchens and training restaurant and Bistro, to our hair & beauty salons and fully functional Aircraft Cabin - all our courses are delivered in modern, flexible and supportive environments.

As well as enabling you to study subjects that may not be available in school, our School College Partnership courses promote resilience, independence and responsibility in students.  Through studying in College, Senior Phase students appreciate what to expect in further or higher education, reducing the anxiety associated with leaving school and taking the next step in their education.

Benefits

Our Senior Phase students can apply for our full time courses before they are available to the public.  What’s more, as an internal applicant, as long as you are applying for a course which progresses on from the Senior Phase course, our students will automatically receive a conditional offer!

“Just be yourself. It’s easier than in school, it builds up your confidence and you get to meet new people.”  Molly – NPA Marketing Advertising and PR.
